UPMC Williamsport – Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine
Austin was born and raised in the Williamsport area and then attended Penn State University for his undergraduate studies. He received his master’s degree as a PA from Arcadia University. After graduating from the PA master’s program at Arcadia, he wanted to come back to the Williamsport area to give back to the schools and teams that gave so much to him.
Austin is proficient in all aspects of patient care including evaluation, ordering the necessary imaging including X-rays and MRI, performing injections and initiating physical therapy. He also assists in the operating room and with all aspects of pre and post-operative care.
Austin is also one of the assistant sports medicine providers for Lycoming College Athletics and assists Dr. Kunkel in the orthopedic surgery sports medicine coverage for various local high schools in Lycoming County.
Austin sees patients in the clinic on Monday, Wednesday and occasionally on Fridays. He assists Dr. Kunkel in the operating room on Tuesdays and Fridays.
